The University of Wisconsin-Platteville’s 47th annual International Night, Oriental Express will feature an oriental marketplace, Asian cuisine, karaoke and entertainment by a Milwaukee band Saturday, April 14th, in Velzy Commons.

It is sponsored and organized by the International Student Club and co-sponsored by Confucius Institute with support from Segregated University Fee Allocation Commission.
According to Jordan Rijpma, graduate assistant of International Student Services, the oriental marketplace will feature fair trade goods sold by “A Ripple Effect”, a Dubuque-based store, calligraphy in a variety of Asian languages, origami, Asian trivia, a photo booth, traditional Asian activities and crafts, displays of Asian clothing and more.
A flag parade will be held to represent the University’s international students before dinner. Following dinner, the Milwaukee-based Korean Drum Band, Garam, will be performing. The rest of the night allows for everyone to participate in karaoke.
