Senior football players Tom Bruins and Jonathan Ebert received citations after police responded to a complaint at 3 a.m. Nov. 8. Fellow teammate Robert Crowley was present and questioned by police. Crowley received no citations.

Bruins, UW-Platteville starting linebacker, was issued a 41.02(1) Disorderly Conduct for the incident. Bruins was unable to be reached for comment. The provided phone number on the police report led to a deactivated phone line.

Ebert, starting senior linebacker, was issued a 41.05(42) Resisting or Obstructing Officer citation. When reached, Ebert had no comment on the offense.

Crowley, senior linebacker, said the incident was under investigation but had no further comment about what happened.

According to the Athletic Code of Conduct, student athletes are expected to present themselves in a “positive public demeanor in words and behavior at all times on and off campus.”

Anyone who breaches the Code will receive consequences determined by the coach, with review by Athletic Director Mark Molesworth.

As of press time, no further information was available about the incident. Steven Millage, complainant, said he was in the process of filing a report with the police.

Bruins has received WIAC Defensive Player of the Week as well as d3football.com Team of the Week Honors.
