Platteville briefs: Second student senator resigns; constitution changes proposed

Angela Jones as the second Senator to resign this semester. Brewer cited academic constraints and not being able to commit the necessary time to fairly represent students of EMS in his resignation letter to Senate.
Senate Constitution changes proposed
Senate Business Manager Andrew Dillard presented Senate with a revised version of the Senate Constitution for discussion. Among the proposed revisions were making the stainability committee into a permanent standing committee, a dress code requiring Senators to dress business casual at any event they attend on behalf of Senate, and a Senior Senator position intended to help train new Senators. The revisions are scheduled to be voted on next week.
D2L resolution discussed, to be voted on next week
A resolution regarding the use of Desire to Learn by faculty and academic staff was discussed by Senate. The resolution primarily aims to encourage faculty and academic staff to use D2L, and would offer anĀ annual award to instructors and academic staff for the use of D2L and other technology.
SUFAC holding deliberations next week
Segregate University Fee Allocation Commission President Jared Keehn announced that SUFAC deliberations will be held 4 to 10:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, 10 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 24 and 11 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 25. All three sessions will be held in the University North Room of the Pioneer Student Center.

United Greek Council is discussing repealing their ban on drinking in visible areas in Greek organization houses.
