Student Health Services will be holding seasonal flu vaccine clinics noon to 3 p.m. Monday, October 12 and from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, October 13. The cost will be $12, and the shots are available to students only.

The vaccines, which were expected to show up in mid-September, did not arrive until this week because of a supplier issue, said Special Assistant to the Chancellor Barb Daus.

Daus said Health Services expects H1N1, also known as swine flu, vaccines by Nov. 1.

The H1N1 vaccine will be administered for free through an injection containing an inactive virus. There is a spray form of the vaccine that would be available earlier, but Student Health Services opted to wait for the injection form because the spray vaccine contains a live virus.
