Carol Sue Butts announced today in a press release that Dean of the College of Business, Industry, Life Science and Agriculture Duane Ford has been appointed to be the interim provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs at UW-Platteville.

Butts, the current provost and vice chancellor for academic affairs, will be leaving the position to be interim chancellor after Chancellor David Markee’s retirement takes effect this fall.

According to the press release, Ford, who came to UW-P in 1999, will begin in his appointed position starting Aug. 1.
