Nothing says being a poor college student like mash potatoes and a little creativity. Idahoan, the leading provider of mashed potato products, is challenging college students across the country to create the most creative recipe using Idahoan products. The grand prize winner will receive a $5,000 savings bond and a year’s supply of Idahoan mashed potatoes.

It is simple to enter: create a recipe that uses at least one Idahoan product, name the recipe, and shoot a photo of your creation.

Three finalists will be judged on four parts: the use of Idahoan’s products and origniality of the recipe (40 percent), the flavor of the recipe (40 percent), the name (10 percent) and presenation (10 percent) of the recipe.

All entries must be sent in via e-mail or mailed by May 22, 2009. To enter, send an Offical Entry Form as well as the recipe and photo to hotpotchallenge@hunterpr.com or Hot Pot Challenge c/o Hunter PR, 41 Madison Avenue, 5th Floor, New York, NY 10010. Finalists will be notified by Sep. 30, 2009.
