Shave To Save
By Exponent Brief • October 9, 2008 • Category: FeaturesThe Interfraturnity Council put on the Shave to Save fundraiser to raise money to help student Bri Klaas with her medical bills. Klaas was diagnosed with Hotchkins Lymphoma; her disease is in remission. Among the students who chose to lose their hair for Klaas, Dean of Students Rich Egley offered not only his head of hair but his infamous 36-year-old mustache. Egley alone raised $270. The fundraiser brought in a total of $800.25 to help Klaas with her bills.
“We’re all a big family on campus. When a person is hurting we should help out,” Alex Peterson, social science junior, said.
